Buses to replace trains on Hurstbridge line during ‘autumn construction blitz’

Buses will replace trains between Clifton Hill and Macleod/Greensborough stations from 8:15 p.m. Friday, March 16 until last train Sunday, April 29 2018 due to Hurstbridge line works, including the removal of the Rosanna and Grange Rd, Alphington level crossings.

Trains between Macleod/Greensborough and Hurstbridge stations will operate to an altered timetable with journey times increased by 55 minutes.

Replacement bus services will operate as stopping all stations, from Clifton Hill to Macleod and Greensborough. Express bus services will operate from Clifton Hill to Ivanhoe (weekdays only) then stopping all stations from Heidelberg to Macleod and Greensborough.

A direct express service will also operate between Victoria Park and Macleod on weekdays before 9:00 p.m.

Bus routes will be diverted during road closures at Grange Road in Alphington, and Lower Plenty Road and Turnham Avenue, Rosanna. For more details, visit ptv.vic.gov.au or call 1800 800 007
During rail closures you can still travel all night on Friday and Saturday nights with buses replacing trains between closed stations.

The Labor Government election year autumn construction blitz will deliver major improvements to road and rail infrastructure in Melbourne and regional Victoria claims the State Government.
