A 53-year-old female leading senior constable from Transit and Public Safety Command has been charged following an internal investigation.
The officer has been charged with one count of common law assault.
It is alleged the incident occurred in Melbourne’s CBD last year while the officer was on duty.
The officer was charged on summons and will appear at an undisclosed Magistrates’ court at a later date.
