OAKLEIGH, VIC. — Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Oakleigh this morning.
Emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of North Road and Golf Links Avenue about 11.30am.
CPR was performed on the motorcyclist, a 26-year-old Bentleigh man, who died at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 77-year-old Beaumaris man, was uninjured and stopped at the scene.
He was interviewed and has since been released pending further enquiries.
His passenger, a 67-year-old Beaumaris woman, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established.
An investigation is ongoing.
