Mt Cottrell fire overnight

Last night Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident in Faulkners Road, Mount Cottrell at 9.27pm following reports of a shed fire.

Last night Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident in Faulkners Road, Mount Cottrell at 9.27pm following reports of a shed fire.

Firefighters, assisted by CFA crews, arrived on the scene to find a large fire in an area approximately 100 x 50 metres involving multiple structures and vehicles with significant smoke.

Thirty fire trucks attended the scene including a CFA Big Fill truck capable of carting 17,000 litres of water.

Ambulance Victoria was also on scene to monitor firefighter health and the State Emergency Service (SES) assisted FRV and CFA.

The incident was deemed Under Control at 10.57pm. Crews remain on scene monitoring.

FRV specialists will investigate the cause of the fire later this morning.
