Police investigate Bundoora collision

Greensborough Highway Patrol officers are appealing for information after a four-car collision in Bundoora when it's alleged a white Toyota Camry was driving erratically in the southbound lane of Plenty Road before it collided with a red Mercedes hatch about 6.45pm on Wednesday, July 5.

Greensborough Highway Patrol officers are appealing for information after a four-car collision in Bundoora when it’s alleged a white Toyota Camry was driving erratically in the southbound lane of Plenty Road before it collided with a red Mercedes hatch about 6.45pm on Wednesday, July 5.

The Toyota Camry then collided with a white Toyota Yaris and a white Hyundai i30.

The male driver of the red Mercedes was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The female passenger was not injured.

The male driver of the Yaris and the female driver of the i30 was not injured.

The driver of the Toyota Camry, an 18-year-old Reservoir man, was arrested at the scene.

He was released pending further enquiries.

Investigators believe two passengers in the Toyota fled the scene on foot before police arrived.

Police are working to establish the exact circumstances around the collision and the investigation is ongoing.
