Police search for man following Epping and Dandenong North stabbings

EPPING, VIC. — Police are continuing to search for a man following a stabbing in Epping and Dandenong North on Sunday morning.

It is understood a silver Honda CRV wagon deliberately crashed into a house on Exner Street about 10.15am.

Officers were told the male driver got out of the vehicle and stabbed the female occupant of the property, who is known to him.

The 34-year-old woman was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man, who is described as African in appearance, dressed in a brown shirt and black pants, fled on foot.

Police believe the offender also stabbed a man at a property on Bradman Terrace in Epping about 7.30am.

The victim, a 40-year-old man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe both incidents were targeted, and the parties are known to each other.

Police are appealing for public assistance as they continue to search for the offender.

Members of the public are advised not to approach the man but to call Triple Zero (000) if they sight him.
