Detectives are investigating the death of a man in Ascot Vale this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a man injured at a property on Churchill Avenue about 4am.
Officers arrived on the scene to discover a man with injuries consistent with a stabbing.

The man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
Another man was arrested at the property and will be interviewed by police.
According to police, it appears the people involved are known to each other.
A crime scene has been established. An investigation is currently underway.
