CRAIGIEBURN, VIC. — Homicide Squad detectives this morning charged a teenager with murder in relation to the death of a Mickleham boy in Craigieburn on Wednesday, July 1.

A 15-year-old boy was located with stab wounds outside a medical centre on Lygon Drive about 7.50pm.

CPR was performed by a staff member from the nearby medical centre, but the teenager died at the scene.

A 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man were arrested in Pascoe Vale around 5.30am yesterday.

The 16-year-old boy from the Goulburn Valley area has been charged with murder and remanded to appear in a children’s court at a later date.

The 20-year-old Beveridge man has been charged with criminal damage by fire and bailed to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

A 15-year-old girl from the Fawkner area was arrested overnight and charged with affray and theft of a motor vehicle. She was bailed to appear in a children’s court at a later date.

A 15-year-old Craigieburn boy was arrested this morning. He is currently being interviewed.

The investigation is continuing.
