SOUTH YARRA, VIC. — Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman after a man was located with serious injuries in South Yarra yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a man with head injuries on Malvern Road about 12.20am.
Officers were told the man was allegedly assaulted before being stabbed.
The victim, a 58-year-old St Kilda man, was transported to hospital where he remains with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives later executed a search warrant at a property on nearby Howitt Street and arrested a 38-year-old woman about 10.30am Sunday.
The South Yarra woman was charged with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury and failing to comply with a direction to assist.
She was remanded in custody overnight to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
It is believed that the parties know each other.
