Police investigate theft at Kilmore cemetery

Kilmore police are appealing for public assistance after more than 60 memorial plaques were stolen from an urn wall in Kilmore this month.

Police have been told unknown offenders attended the cemetery on Kilmore-Lancefield Road sometime between Sunday, 1 December and Monday, 17 December.

It is believed thieves stole 66 brass and bronze plaques from the memorial urn wall worth more than $20,000.

Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at this time.
