Protective Services Officer charged with assault at South Morang station

A Victoria Police Protective Services Officer (PSO) has been charged on summons to appear at the Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on July 16 following an alleged assault whilst on duty at South Morang Railway Station last year.

The assault is alleged to have occurred on July 19, 2017 and the male PSO officer  has since been ‘transferred to other duties’ following the alleged incident.

No injuries were reported following the incident according to a Victoria Police media release.
