VicNews editor Ashley Geelan was today given the privilege and absolute honour of conducting the on-air Remembrance Day Service across Victoria’s VHF/UHF amateur radio network.
Today we remember the men and women who served Australia through two World Wars and many other conflicts, peacekeeping missions, the provision of assistance after natural and man-made disasters to our nation and its people.
We remember and pay extra homage to the signallers and amateur radio operators who served our nation, both at home and abroad.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning;
We will remember them.
