MELBOURNE, VIC. — On Monica Smit’s Telegram channel ‘Reignite Democracy’, Smit stated that “I’m saddened to admit that we’ve had two cancel on us. It feels like the good old COVID days when we had to sneak around.”
“I need help finding a venue that can fit up to 500 people, offers pay-as-you-go drinks and food on 20 September, either in the arvo or evening.”
This follows after the original venue to host Smit’s Nazi-aligned, far-right, white power and Hanson-aligned gathering, Metropolis Events, cancelled after they were informed that Monica Smit was a supporter of neo-Nazis, including Thomas Sewell and Tommy Robinson, having invited both to address her previous Reignite Democracy Australia rallies.
Following Metropolis Events’ cancellation, Smit’s new venue was the all-inclusive Italian club il Mercato Centrale – which even has gender diverse bathroom facilities – cancelled as well, even though this venue does not trade on Sundays, even for private, closed functions, and Smit advertised the booking despite no such booking existing.
Now Smit is begging her social media followers for a venue to host her GVT celebration of the far right, white supremacist, anti-immigrant gathering of neo-Nazi’s and those aligned with them, such as “[a] proud Jewish Nazi” and fake journalist Avi Yemini. Yemini holds no journalism qualifications.
“Email me [redacted] asap if you know a venue that won’t cancel on us,” Smit said on social media this afternoon.
