Whittlesea Bureau now open

To celebrate it’s first birthday Kinglake Ranges News today opened the Whittlesea newsroom with Greensborough (St Helena), Alexandra, Hurstbridge, Yarra Glen and Yea to follow.

Newsrooms are being modified with new equipment, computer upgrades and refurbishment whilst legacy equipment such as two-way high frequency (HF) radio is upgraded to include the latest in digital technology.

The upgrade will allow live access to space satellites carrying news reports. astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS) and direct monitoring of police, fire, ambulance, aviation, maritime, State Mobile Radio/Government Radio Network (SMR/GRN), Local Government, including Murrindindi Shire and other two-way radio voice and data communications.

Live audio feeds to social media of Kinglake police, fire and ambulance two-way audio commences soon.
