LONDON, UK. — The Metropolitan Police (London) have stated: “We will vigorously defend our decision to require officers and staff to declare if they are Freemasons.”
The social media post on X (formerly Twitter) by the official @metpoliceuk account posted this:
This masthead, based on research, investigations, and personal experience, strongly believes that Freemasonry has, is, and does influence, both directly and indirectly, the Victoria Police and the Victorian judiciary.
It is known that many Victoria Police members are also Freemasons. It is also known that several judges and Victorian Magistrates are also Freemasons.
This includes female police officers, female judges, and Magistrates whose husbands, boyfriends, fiancés, or other male partners are also members of Freemasonry.
The ‘London Laws’ should also include all Members of State and Federal Parliament, local councillors and all candidates running for office during local, state or federal elections.
Politicians are very astute in revealing that they are members of the local footy club, netball club, CWA, Lions, Rotary and the like. They should also be required, by law, to disclose to the public if they are Freemasons. The ‘London Laws’.
We are calling them “The London Laws” and are calling on the Victorian Government to implement the same, or similar laws in Victoria.
The editor of this masthead, Ashley Geelan, was investigated by Victoria Police, including officers who were Freemasons, in ‘secret loyalties.’ The person who sought the investigation is a Freemason. The female Magistrate who heard the matter, her husband is also a Freemason. None of this was ever disclosed. Conflict of interest.
The Magistrate, given their association with Freemasonry via marriage, should have recused herself and let another Magistrate hear the matter.
To avoid conflicts of interest, as per the Metropolitan Police (London, UK) statement, this masthead will fight to ensure such conflicts of interest are fully disclosed.
If it’s good enough for the London Metropolitan Police to require the disclosure that members (police officers) are Freemasons, then the same should apply in Victoria and in all Australian criminal jurisdictions.
Such disclosure should also be required of all judicial officers, including all Magistrates, Judges, and Clerks of Court. Registrars and all that hold any position of power should be required, by law, to disclose such membership.
Freemasonry is a ‘secret society’ with ‘special handshakes’ and weird costumes. It is a place where often people in positions of power, and often pedophiles, too, hide. Being a ‘secret society, ‘ none of this information is ever disclosed.
As such, we will be campaigning throughout 2026 to have ‘The London Laws’ applied, first to Victoria Police and the Victorian judiciary, before campaigning for the same laws in all Australian jurisdictions.
If it’s good enough for London, it’s good enough for Melbourne.
