CANBERRA, ACT. — It sounds more like a military operation than the latest political campaign of the far-right, racist, sexist, Atlas network and (US) CPAC-adjacent far-right ‘think tank’ Advance.
“Mass immigration is tearing us apart. Government spending is driving up inflation.
“Net Zero is pushing up the cost of everything. And Labor cares more about the elites in Brussels and Davos than they do about you and me,” Advance Executive Director Matthew Sheahan said in his latest email.
“Labor has to go. And today I’m writing to tell you exactly how we’re going to start making that happen,” he added.
Of course, in the email, Sheahan is begging for donations to Advance’s ‘Operation First Strike.’
Advance is calling their new campaign ‘Operation First Strike’ and Advance Executive Director Matthew Sheahan wants the public to know why only ‘Advance can Advance Australia Fair’, at least in his own deluded right-wing MAGA mind.
Operation First Strike will require $650,000 – that’s $65,000 for each of the 10 seats to fund every phase of their campaign.
“I want to explain why Advance – and only Advance – can pull this off,” Advance Executive Director Matthew Sheahan said.
“Right now, there is no single party that can beat Labor on its own.
“The Coalition needs to get their act together and campaign to put Australians first. One Nation has a policy platform that puts Australians first, but they need to organise and mature into a truly national force.
“Neither of them can do what Advance does.
“We learnt from winning the Voice referendum and smashing the Greens at the last election, it’s this: in the modern fractured media landscape, you have to campaign early, campaign hard, and own the question voters are asking when they walk into the polling booth.
Advance has a three-phase plan to target the 10 federal seats of Petrie (QLD), Forde (QLD), Bullwinkel (WA), Brand (WA), Bendigo (VIC), Corangamite (VIC), Whitlam (NSW), Paterson (NSW), Bass (TAS) and Boothby (SA).
According to Advance, “Phase One begins within a fortnight, whereby 10 seats where donations will fund a rapid opinion poll to uncover what voters really care about,
“That’s how we won the Voice campaign. That’s how we smashed the Greens. World-class intelligence that made every dollar of advertising hit the mark,” Sheahan said.
By mid-March, Advance will move to phase two, which they are calling ‘mobilisation’ in 10 seats where Advance donors’ support will help identify and organise 1000 locals ready to push back when the campaign begins.
Then Advance will move to phase three – the ‘attack ad’ phase – after Advance has secured funding for its ads from its 43,000 members, with the intention of having the new attack ads ready to launch by April.
“It’s a long road ahead, but the fight starts now,” Sheahan said.
Gina Rhinehart and former PM Tony Abbott are known former (or current) members of and major, regular donors to Advance and its far-right, Trump-adjacent racist and sexist causes.
Matthew Sheahan did not respond to requests for comment.
