Iron Wombat to join 300 club

Kinglake.

Kinglake’s Brett Groves next Saturday,  June 3,  becomes just the third player in Kinglake football club history to play 300 club games for the Lakers when Kinglake face Seville at home.

When Brett first played for Kinglake last century former teammate, Michael Maloney commented that a “young (Brett) Grover once sported a mullet that put Billy Ray Cyrus to shame!”

Affectionately known amongst Lakers past and present as the Iron Wombat, the Kinglake Ranges community and football/netball club wish to thank Brett Groves for his contributions of over two decades to the Kinglake Football/Netball Club.

Congratulations Brett Groves.
