A stirring pre-match address from coach Jason Heatley saw Jhye Baddeley-Kelly kick five goals as North Heidelberg secured a crucial 17-point win and snapped a five-game losing streak for the Doggies.

Bulldogs coach Jason Heatley addressed the players pre-game with the players resolving not to let this one slip . It led to a four goal to one opening term with the Bulldogs 10.10 (70) defeating the Bulls 7.11 (53).

Jhye Baddeley-Kelly kicked five goals to power North Heidelberg to a potentially season-defining 17-point win over Bundoora and back into the NFNL Division 1 top-five at a wet and muddy Yulong Reserve.

North Heidelberg were challenged by a very good Bundoora side where at three-quarter time Bundoora had the scoring end advantage, trailing by 4 points.

After the game North Heidelberg coach Jason Heatley addressed the players.

“I was just really pleased that we were challenged … they’re a good side.

“We had a lot of good players today,” Heatley said.

North Heidelberg battle fellow finals contender Hurstbidge at Shelley Street whilst Bundoora will travel to Whittlesea next week.
