“We’re excited to invite everyone in our community to the Tounnin Wominjeka Community Day. This event is a fantastic opportunity to come together, enjoy a fun-filled afternoon, and see firsthand the resources and support available to young people at our new youth hub. It’s a celebration of what makes our community so special – connection, inclusivity, and opportunity,” Cr Marsh said.

Since opening in September, Tounnin Wominjeka has been a hub of activity, offering young people a welcoming, safe space packed with resources including creative workshops, gaming groups and leadership opportunities.

The hub boasts a community kitchen, computers, an art room, and comfortable spaces to relax or study.

Trained youth workers provide information and referrals, ensuring young people and their families have the support they need.

When programs aren’t running, the hub is open for young people to drop in, study, or simply enjoy the space.

Tounnin Wominjeka is also a resource for parents and carers. Adults are welcome to visit, learn more about available services, and explore how the hub can support young people in their care.

The hub also features a variety of spaces available for hire, including consultation rooms, meeting rooms, multipurpose areas, hot desks, and clinics. Organisations servicing young people are invited to book these spaces.
