YEA, VIC. — The John Cotton Bridge at Yea Wetlands reopened yesterday, Friday, June 5, ahead of schedule, in time for the upcoming King’s Birthday long weekend.

The bridge was temporarily closed while Murrindindi Shire Council undertook remediation works as part of broader Wetlands Restoration activities. Completion of the works earlier than anticipated means visitors can once again access the wetlands via the John Cotton Bridge.

Murrindindi Council wishes to thank the community for their patience and cooperation while the works were carried out.
