FLOWERDALE, VIC. — At about 9am a truck collided with a tree, closing the Whittlesea-Yea Road between Whittlesea-Kinglake Road, Kinglake West and Broadford-Flowerdale Road, Flowerdale.
Police advise avoiding the area and seeking an alternate route. Detours via Broadford-Flowerdale Road and Whittlesea-Kinglake Road.
The accident has also impacted beer deliveries to the Flowerdale Hotel as the road is closed, and hotel staff are unable to attend work.

“We’ll open the pub when staff can get there, and we’ve got plenty of beer and food until CUB and other deliveries can get through,” a Flowerdale Hotel spokesperson said.
The road is not expected to reopen before 1pm, according to police.
Police have not provided further details of the accident.
