Due to two landslips a large section of the Melba Highway will be closed for 6 weeks from 7am, Monday, February 17 until the end of March for urgent repairs.
Access to properties and businesses along the Melba Highway south of the Healesville-Kinglake intersection will be maintained from Yarra Glen.
However, no access will be permitted through the worksite on the Melba Highway from the Healesville-Kinglake Road intersection.

The highway will reopen for the Labor Day long weekend from Friday afternoon March 7 until 7am Tuesday, March 11, in both directions with temporary speed limits in place.
A detour will be in place for light vehicles, rigid trucks, and buses via Healesville-Kinglake Road (C724) and Healesville-Yarra Glen Road (C726). Drivers can expect additional travel times of over 30 minutes.
Heavy vehicles, such as semi-trailer combinations, rigid truck-trailer combinations, or vehicles with a length greater than 19 metres, must detour via Whittlesea-Yea Road and Plenty Road (Metro Route 27/C727).
Alternatively heavy vehicles can detour earlier via the Goulburn Valley Highway (B340) and the Hume Freeway (M31).
B-doubles and vehicles over 19m can expect additional travel times of over 90 minutes.
It is not known whether the V/Line Southern Cross (Spencer Street) Mansfield to Melbourne coach service that runs both via Yarra Glen and Whittlesea will run all services via Whittlesea or continue normal services via Yarra Glen using the diversion.
Dates are subject to change, depending on weather conditions.
