Police are investigating the stabbing of a 17-year-old boy which occurred in Darley at about 5:50am on Monday, December 9.
Officers have been told the 17-year-old boy was dropped off in Riverbend Drive, Darley and as he made his way along Riverbend Drive when a white Ford sedan pulled into the street.
Several occupants jumped out and chased the boy to Hartog Grove.
The victim was cornered in the backyard of a property and assaulted and stabbed by several offenders.
It is alleged a second car, a silver Subaru Liberty, attended Hartog Grove during the assault.
The occupants of that vehicle were also allegedly involved in the assault and stabbing of the victim.
Investigators believe the parties are known to each other and the victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
