DEER PARK, VIC. — Brimbank Divisional Response Unit are appealing for information after a teenager was stabbed during an affray at Robert Bruce Reserve on Gould Street, Deer Park, at about 7.15pm.

Officers were first called to the scene following reports of a brawl and possible stabbing involving a group of youths.

When police arrived they found several witnesses and an injured 18-year-old young woman with suspected stab wounds.

The teen was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

At this stage the circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear however police believe the victim and a friend attended the park to meet up with people known to them, possibly about an online dispute.

Police have been told a brawl broke out which spread out from the reserve onto Gould and Newbury streets and Neal Road.
