Police have arrested a 28-year-old Diggers Rest man following an alleged fatal stabbing in Point Cook about 2.45pm.
It is believed an altercation allegedly took place between two men outside accommodation on Point Cook Road.
Sadly, one of the men died at the scene.
A 28-year-old Diggers Rest man was arrested nearby and is in police custody for an interview.
It is believed the parties were known to each other.
Homicide Squad are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
