Eltham woman injured in car accident

Nunawading Highway Patrol are investigating a four-vehicle collision in Oakleigh about 12.15am this morning.

Nunawading Highway Patrol are investigating a four-vehicle collision in Oakleigh about 12.15am this morning.

It is believed a driver in a Mercedes sedan was travelling along Warrigal Road when they collided with a blue Nissan Micra.

The impact forced the second vehicle into two other cars.

The driver of the sedan, an 82-year-old Eltham woman, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

No other drivers were injured.

The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined. Investigations remain ongoing.
