PORT MELBOURNE, VIC. — Detectives from Taskforce Hawk yesterday arrested a man and a woman as part of an investigation into alleged financial misconduct linked to a labour hire company in Port Melbourne.

Investigators from the taskforce have been working collaboratively with the Labour Hire Authority, which has also been investigating the company’s compliance with legal obligations under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018.

A warrant was executed yesterday morning at the company’s headquarters in Port Melbourne.

A 66-year-old Middle Park man and a 66-year-old Docklands woman were arrested.

The man was charged with one count of using a false document.

He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on June 19, 2026.

The woman was released pending further enquiries.

Police will allege that invoices were falsified and are investigating several other payments and cash withdrawals. The arrests are part of a broader Taskforce Hawk investigation into the labour hire industry.

An investigation remains ongoing.

Taskforce Hawk is focused on assessing new intelligence and evidence related to allegations of criminal behaviour in the construction industry.
