FRANKSTON, VIC. — Somerville detectives yesterday charged two men after a man was allegedly assaulted in Frankston earlier this week.
Police were called to reports of an injured man at an address on Charon Court on Sunday, June 7, about 11pm.
Detectives understand that a physical altercation occurred between three men outside the residence.
Two men then fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.
A 37-year-old Frankston man remains in hospital with critical injuries.
Two women in the residence at the time were not physically injured.
Yesterday, investigators executed a search warrant at a Frankston address in relation to the incident.
Detectives located and seized several items, including hatchets, an imitation firearm, knives and a baseball bat.
A 43-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with attempted murder and stalking.
A 52-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with attempted murder.
The pair appeared before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court late yesterday.
It is understood that the parties are known to each other.
