THOMASTOWN, VIC. — Detectives from the Homicide Squad charged a 20-year-old Reservoir man yesterday, who was arrested at Melbourne Airport shortly before 4am as he attempted to board an international flight following a fatal shooting in Thomastown earlier this month.
He was interviewed by investigators and was charged with murder and appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from Donnybrook, were charged with murder on Thursday, September 10.
The duo was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on February 1, 2027.

The charges follow an incident on Sunday, September 6, where 22-year-old Thomastown man Daniel Hussein was fatally shot at a reserve on Victoria Drive in Thomastown.
He was treated at the scene but passed away a short time later.
Police will allege that this incident was a targeted attack and that the parties involved were known to each other.
