Murrindindi Shire to host state Tourism Summit

Holmesglen at Eildon has partnered with Murrindindi Shire to host the 2019 Victorian Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) Victorian Visitor Information Services Summit.

Following a two-stage selection process, VTIC Chief Executive Officer, Felicia Mariani,  announced the event will be held at Holmesglen at Eildon from 21-23 August.

Councillor Jackie Ashe said Holmesglen at Eildon put a lot of work into the application to host the Summit, and we’re really excited to be working together to deliver it.

“The VTIC VIS Summit is the yearly meeting of all Visitor Information Services personnel, economic development staff and regional tourism bodies who come together to get inspired, learn from best practice examples and exchange ideas,” Ashe said.

“The event engages attendees through various workshops and networking sessions alongside a series of regional ‘familiarisation tours’ which showcase the tourism attractions and businesses of the host region.

“The familiarisation tours will be a great opportunity for Murrindindi Shire tourism businesses to display their fantastic products and services, to Visitor Information Services staff and ambassadors from across Victoria. We can’t wait to show off all the awesome destinations we have here.

“A big congratulations the Holmesglen at Eildon team. No doubt the Summit will prove extremely valuable for our local tourism industry,” Ashe said.
