A 37-year-old Ballarat woman was allegedly five times over the alcohol limit in Ballarat last night.
Ambulance Victoria officers alerted police after observing a vehicle driving erratically on Geelong Road.
Officers arrived to find the woman out of the vehicle and speaking with ambulance officers.
The Ballarat woman was taken to a police station for an evidentiary breath test and her licence immediately suspended, her vehicle impounded after she returned an alleged reading of .265.
Police will charge the woman on summons in relation to drink driving offences.
The intercept forms part of Operation Nexus, a statewide road policing operation to coincide with the high-risk Easter holiday period.
Police are targeting speed, impaired driving, distraction, fatigue and seatbelt non-compliance in high-risk areas throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, in an effort to drive down road trauma.
