SYDNEY, NSW. — Monica Smit’s “Put Australia First” rally scheduled for 2pm at Prince Alfred Park, Sydney, NSW, is not authorised.

“Police are aware of an unauthorised gathering planned for Prince Alfred Park today (Sunday, December 21) and are urging people not to attend.

“A Form 1 was submitted by the organiser [Monica Smit] on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, however, it was not supported by police and subsequent negotiations were unsuccessful.

“As a result, the organiser [Monica Smit] has not obtained authorisation for the assembly under Part 4 of the [NSW] Summary Offences Act 1988.

“Without this authorisation, the event is not legally protected as an authorised assembly and individuals who choose to attend may be liable for obstruction and unlawful assembly offences.

“Anyone planning to attend these unauthorised events is urged to reconsider,” a NSW Police Force spokesperson said.
