Cricket Club elects 2017-18 committee

Kinglake Ranges News – First for Cricket

Tonight (July 3) the Kinglake Cricket Club held its annual general meeting electing a new committee for the upcoming 2017-18 cricket season.

Incoming president Jason Gaffee thanked outgoing (2016-17) president Simon Andrews “for his hard work over the past season,” and last seasons’ committee members “for all their hard work.”

The club also thanked Ray ‘Wrinkles’ Bartlam for chairing the AGM.

The club will have an Under 11 junior side and hopes to also establish an Under 13 side.

Kinglake will remain in the E Grade ‘Sault Shield’ competition of the North Metro Cricket Association (NMCA) for 2017-18.

Season 2017-18 commences on Saturday, October 7 and continues until December 16 before having a break over the Christmas/New Year period. The season resumes on Saturday, January 6, 2018 and concludes on March 3, 2018. Match fixtures are yet to be released.

The next Kinglake Cricket Club meeting will be held on Monday, August 21 at the Kinglake Memorial Oval club rooms.
