Junction leave Lakers behind after half time

Kinglake were in the game until half-time before Yarra Junction took control in the second half to win by 59.

Kinglake kicked two goals straight from two shots in the first quarter and still be in the game.

Whilst Yarra Junction had seven scoring shots the Eagles inaccuracy would see scores level at the first break.

Despite outscoring Kinglake, Yarra Junction only held a four point lead at the main break. Kinglake 4.3 (27) to Yarra Junction 4.7 (31).

In the third quarter Junction’s inaccuracy continued with three goals from ten scoring shots whilst Kinglake kicked two goals, three points.

In the final quarter Yarra Junction switched on to kick seven goals and seven points to one goal from Kinglake, with Yarra Junction wining by 59-points.

Yarra Junction are third on the ladder whilst Kinglake have only one win for the season and fifth on the Division 2 ladder.

Kinglake’s reserves secured a win -just – by kicking the winning goal on the siren to win by a point.

The Lakers also revealed their all new ‘clash’ jumper after being forced to wear the special grey and black guernsey produced following Kinglake’s difficult 2009 season whenever playing Yarra Junction.
