Yea Tigers hope to form Youth Girls’ AFLW team

The Yea Football/Netball Club are hoping to form an AFLW Youth Girls‘ team for the Yea Tigers in season 2018.

A meeting will be held this Tuesday, February 13, 5pm at Yea Recreation Reserve netball  rooms with a AFLW/Youth Girls’ League representative attending to answer any questions parents or participants may have.

A girls’ “Come and try football” training session will follow on Wednesday, February 14 from 6pm at the Yea Recreation Reserve. Bring comfortable sportswear, runners, water bottle and all your mates.

In other Yea Football/Netball Club news junior football will again field sides in the Seymour District Junior Football Netball League (SDJFNL) in under 10, 12, 14 and 16 years of age competitions as well as an affiliation with Auskick for the youngsters.

Junior Netball will change to under 11, 13, 15 and 17 years of age and Yea FNC also have an affiliation with Net Set Go.

Junior Registration Day is Friday, February 23, 6pm at the Yea Recreation Reserve netball rooms.
