“She became trapped between unstable rocks,” SES media spokeswoman Tracey told VicNews.

The rescue teams (HART) set up anchor points using vehicles in steep terrain to lower rescuers down to the trapped woman.

The Alexandra State Emergency Service (SES) HART responded, along with Marysville SES and the Alexandra, Yea and Plenty CFA. Police and ambulance also attended.

The woman was safely extracted by HART at 7.55pm and was checked by on-scene paramedics. She was unharmed and did not require medical attention.

Emergency crews left the scene at 8.15pm.
