8:23pm: There is also a grassfire south of Donnybrook Road. This fire is headed towards Craigieburn, being pushed south by a northerly wind.
7:19pm: Grass fire in Kilmore heading towards Donnybrook. Residents of Bylands, Forbes, Springfield, and Willowmavin should activate their fire plans.

There is a grassfire at Willowmavin that is currently under control.
4:23pm: Three townhouses in Male Street have been involved in this apartment fire. All occupants are accounted for.
4:18pm: Additional appliances are being moved up to (step up) fire stations attending the Male Street, Brighton, fire.
4:03pm: Rescue 25 has arrived at the scene.
3:55pm: Several calls to a major unit fire. Escalated to a second alarm at 149 Male St, Brighton.
Pumper 32, Pumper 24, and Pumper Tanker 34 are now on the scene. Other firefighters are responding.
Pumper 35A and 35B out. Teleboom 10 also out.
Ambulance requested by firefighters.
Rescue 25 is on the way.
Approximately 50 metres by 30 metres. Firefighters fighting the fire from the rear. BA stage one now in operation.
3:30pm: A grass fire has been reported in Forbes, Kilmore, Springfield and Willowmavin.
This grassfire is travelling in a southerly direction from McHargs Road towards Kilmore-Lancefield Road.
The Willowmavin grassfire is not yet under control.
12:30pm: There are currently no reports of any major fire outbreaks or fires in the Grampians and Little Desert regions of Victoria flaring up. However, this could change at any moment.
11am: No major fires have yet been reported or attended. However, according to the Bureau of Meteorology, ‘dry lightning’ strikes may occur later this afternoon. Whilst there is no current threats of a major fire, this could change at a moment’s notice.
7am: Firebirds (firebombing helicopters) are on standby across Victoria with some firebirds moving to regional airports this morning. The State Control Centre has opened.
6am: Good morning Melbourne and Victoria. On Total Fire Ban days VicNews keeps a listening watch on fire services across the state. We also have contacts (amateur radio operators) including CFA and SES volunteers and others who work in communications at the State Control Centre.
We use these resources to keep the public informed.
