The Eltham Fire Brigade (CFA) and fire appliances from the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) in Greensborough (#16) last night responded to a house fire in Briar Hill overnight, where a man was located deceased.
It’s believed the blaze broke out at a property on Mountain View Road sometime after 10pm last night, Thursday, July 11.
The body of a man, who is yet to be formally identified, was located at the scene.
Investigators are yet to establish the exact cause of the fire and an arson chemist will attend the scene later this morning as investigations continue.
