Your say on the future of Alexandra’s Rotary Park Play Space

Whether you set your kids loose on the playground, enjoy a barbeque under the gazebo or like to get some ‘air’ yourself on the Skate/BMX facilities, Council wants your input on the future of Alexandra’s Rotary Park Play Space.

Deputy Mayor of Murrindindi Shire Council Sandice McAulay said the Play Space is due to be refurbished in 2019/20. Council is keen to use this as an opportunity to consult with the community about its future.

“The Rotary Park Play Space is a hub of recreation in the Alexandra community and a special place for visitors to the town to stop and enjoy themselves. As such, it’s a really important community asset,” McAulay said.

“We’re developing a master plan to improve the Play Space, based on community and user needs. To ensure we deliver on a shared vision, Council is eager to find out what you want this space to look like.

“Renewal programs only allow for the upkeep of an asset – like the Rotary Park Play

Space. So Council’s goal is to use the designs resulting from this consultation to seek additional State Government funding to make the Rotary Park Play Space even better. That’s why it’s so important to tell us what you think the area needs.

“I really encourage you to fill in the short survey on Council’s website or pop along to one of the consultation sessions happening in October at the Play Space. You can find all the information and the survey link at www.murrindindi.vic.gov.au/rotarypark,” McAulay said.
