Detectives and the Werribee Neighbourhood Policing Unit, with local police, have arrested three people as part of an ongoing investigation into local burglaries.
Officers attended a vacant house on Boardwalk Boulevard, Point Cook about 9:30am on Thursday, February 27.
Police intelligence led investigators to believe that several people were squatting at the premises and may be able to assist with enquiries into several local burglaries.
When police arrived at the premises, it is alleged one of the men climbed into the roof and then jumped from the second story to avoid apprehension. He was apprehended by police with the assistance of nearby tradesmen.
Police have charged a 20-year-old Altona man with aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and trespass. He will face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
A 39-year-old woman of no fixed address has been charged with trespass, produce false documents and obtain financial advantage by deception.
She has been bailed to appear at Werribee Magistrates’ Court on August 26, 2025.
A 27-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft of a motor car, trespassing and other offences.
The investigation is ongoing.
