A Severe Weather Warning is in place for people in parts of East Gippsland, North East and West and South Gippsland Forecast Districts.
5:45pm: A Watch and Act – Monitor Conditions message was just issued for Chesney Vale, Taminick and Winton North.
There are several grass/bushfires that are not yet under control.
The fires are travelling southerly direction towards Lake Mokoan
5:15pm: All Watch and Act warnings have been downgraded to Advice – Stay Informed however conditions could change rapidly as a cool change sweeps across the state late this afternoon.
You should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions.
4:15pm: With a cool change sweeping across the state, fire conditions can change rapidly.
A Watch and Act is in place for a fast-moving grassfire at Kingston and Newlyn that is not yet under control that is travelling in a south-easterly direction from Kingston Road, Kingston towards Archibald Road. Staying close to a building where you can shelter is the safest option, as conditions can change suddenly.
The Watch and Act. Leave Now warning for the Barongarook grassfire in the Otway Ranges warning remains in place for Barongarook, Forrest, Gerangamete and Kawarren.
A Watch and Act Monitor Conditions warning is in place for Barwon Downs.
3pm: All current warnings remain in place.

2:30pm: There is a fire at the Broadford Paper Mill, High Street, Broadford. A large paper stack on fire. Smoke and flames may be visible from nearby roads and communities.
Firefighters are currently responding to this incident.
All other warnings remain in place.

1:22pm: The Barongarook grassfire in the Otway Ranges warning has been upgraded to “Watch and Act. Leave Now” for Barongarook, Forrest, Gerangamete and Kawarren.
Don’t wait, leaving now is the safest option – conditions may change and get worse very quickly. Emergency services may not be able to help you if you decide to stay.
1pm: The Barongarook grassfire in the Otway Ranges is not yet under control.
Residents are advised to tune a battery-powered portable AM/FM radio to ABC South West on 1602kHz AM and stay informed of local conditions.
Remember, you may lose power, mobile phone reception and the internet at any moment. Be Prepared.
There is currently no threat to you, but you should stay informed and plan for what you will do if the situation changes.
12:30pm: There is a grassfire at Barongarook in the Otway Ranges that is not yet under control. This grassfire is travelling from the corner of Lodge Road and Wares Road in a southerly direction. Firefighters are on the scene. There is no immediate threat but residents should remain alert to changing conditions.
The fire at Brimmin was just declared under control by firefighters.

12pm: There is a small grass fire on Clarkes Lane, Brimmin (southeast of Corowa on the Murray Valley Highway). Five vehicles are responding.
11am: Fire Rescue Victoria has issued an Advice notice due to a structure fire in Northgate Drive, Springvale South.
The warning area includes Dingley Village, Keysborough, Noble Park and Springvale South.
There is no threat to local residents. Smoke may be visible in the local area.
8:30am: Fires in the Grampians National Park and Little Desert National Park remain under control, however, this could change due to strong northerly winds with a southerly cool change expected to sweep across the state from the west this afternoon.
Residents in the area are advised to stay informed.
There is also fire south of Woods Point in eastern Victoria. The threat from this fire is reduced.
It’s 26.8c in Melbourne with gusty northerly winds.
