McLeish likely to be re-elected

Independent state election candidate for Eildon Michelle Dunscombe was praised in Federal Parliament by Member for Indi Cathy McGowan.

McGowan congratulated the independent candidates who stood for local seats in last week’s State Election.

As at Wednesday (Nov. 28), Dunscombe had secured 1942 first preference votes (5.42 per cent) of the 35,799 formal votes cast. A re-check count is currently being undertaken for the Eildon seat. Liberal Cindy McLeish still leads and likely to retain her seat.
