Detectives yesterday arrested and charged three men, including neo-Nazi Thomas Sewell,  following an alleged affray and assaults which occurred in Melbourne on Sunday.

It is alleged that a group assaulted a First Nations group at Camp Sovereign in Kings Domain about 5pm on Sunday, August 31.

Yesterday afternoon, detectives arrested three men outside the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in William Street, Melbourne about 3.20pm.

Thomas Sewell, 32, from Balwyn, a 23-year-old man from Mooroolbark and a 20-year-old man from Ardeer were interviewed and charged by police yesterday afternoon.

Sewell was remanded overnight at the city watchhouse and has since been charged with violent disorder, affray, assault by kicking, discharging a missile and other offences.

He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, September 3.

The 23-year-old man from Mooroolbark was charged with violent disorder, affray and assault by kicking and was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on December 10.

The 20-year-old Ardeer man was charged with violent disorder, affray and discharging a missile.

He was also bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on December 10.
