Teenage girl critical following three-vehicle collision

WALWA, VIC. — Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a three-vehicle collision in Walwa on the afternoon of Friday, June 12.

Police believe a Toyota HiAce van, a silver Holden Colorado and a red Toyota Hilux collided on Murray River Road about 3.45pm.

One of the passengers of the Toyota HiAce, a 13-year-old girl, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the HiAce, a 50-year-old man, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The other passenger, a 10-year-old boy, was not injured.

The driver of the Holden Colorado, a 27-year-old man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Toyota Hilux, a 20-year-old man, was not injured.

Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision.

Police are appealing for anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the collision to check their dashcam footage.
