BROADMEADOWS, VIC. — Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following a shooting in Broadmeadows last month.

Emergency services were called to Pascoe Vale Road following reports that a man had suffered a gunshot wound on Sunday, September 28 about 3.45pm.

A 22-year-old Meadow Heights man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.

A 26-year-old man was arrested at Coolaroo Railway Station by Protective Services Officers from the Transit Safety Division on Wednesday, October 1, at about 4.30pm.

He was charged with attempted murder, intentionally causing serious injuries in circumstances of gross violence, assaulting police and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

The Roxburgh Park man was remanded into custody and will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on January 8, 2026.

Police will allege the parties involved were known to each other and the incident was targeted.

Investigators believe that no other alleged offenders remain outstanding.
